Martin has been involved in property research, analysis and strategy development for over 15 years, working for several of Australia’s largest corporations and consultancies including:
- Coles Myer
- Charter Keck Cramer
- Stockland
- Becton
- DTZ Australia
Over the years, Martin has been involved in site analysis of supermarket and discount department stores nationally. He has provided strategic advice to many of Australia’s largest property corporations across the CBD office, industrial land, residential land, apartment and aged care/retirement markets.
Martin has played significant roles in compiling input for feasibility analysis for many large acquisitions including Australian Retirement Communities ($500 million) while at Stockland.
Most recently Martin headed up the Research capability of DTZ Australia, one of the world’s largest and most successful commercial real estate companies.
Martin has been regularly quoted in national media for his analysis and insights into commercial markets. He has compiled several research papers that have generated significant media coverage for their candid nature and real world relevance.
Martin has extensive knowledge and experience establishing and implementing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) specifically for use as a business decision tool. He undertook significant roles in the implementation of mapping systems (GIS) at Coles Myer, Charter Keck Cramer, and Stockland.
